Lost Days- Gallery 1988

Posted by Jeff Boyes

This past December had had the amazing opportunity to have a show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles with Dan Mumford and Jeffrey Everett.  We called the show "Lost Days" and we all tackled various cool aspects of our childhoods.  I chose to do two prints per subject, with one being my normal style and the other being my version of a technical drawing.  I hope people dive into those technical drawing details, as there are some funny stats in there. The landscape prints for this show are some of my most challenging but rewarding prints.  Enjoy the new artwork!  I have all my A/P's up now.

Flatmates -Crazy 4 Cult 11

Posted by Jeff Boyes
Crazy 4 Cult was one of my first shows ever at Gallery 1988, so it's cool to be involved in it again after all these years. When picking a subject matter I wanted to be more current than I usually am ( I love the 80's) and that led me to What We Do In The Shadows. The talents of Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clemente are inspiring to say the least.  What a combo! When I was trying to get the 4 Vampires together in some sort of "Group of Friends" type composition, I just kept coming back to the Queen II album cover. Maybe it was Freddie Mercury's pose with the crossed arms that got me. I hope you like the final product! Danny Askar did an amazing job printing these and he says they are black light friendly, so give it a try!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind-Focus 15

Posted by Jeff Boyes

This Summer I had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Focus Features 15th Anniversary print series.  I was assigned Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, which is one of my favourite movies of all time.  I chose to illustrate a scene in the movie which is only a few seconds long, but always stuck out in my head as such a cool idea. The amazing Danny Askar printed these so you know they are sharp and presise. These prints were only given out at a special screening of Eternal Sunshine and were never sold to the public.
